Cyber Training

1 Day Engaging Classroom Training - Edinburgh
Cybercrime is a growing threat to UK business, in fact some would argue that it is the greatest threat to businesses globally. It is a matter of when rather than if an attack will take place. Recent surveys by The Federation of Businesses and the UK Government found that 66% of businesses experienced cybercrime within the last 2 years.

Most, if not all, security breaches will involve some element of human error. Human Factors is widely published as being responsible or significantly causal to in-excess of 95% of successful cyber breaches. Combined with the fact that software no longer appears to be the target of hackers, rather, the Human-in-the-loop is the focus of hacker’s attention.

Staff training and awareness programmes are a critical part of your organisational defences. Therefore, investing in training that is; effective, pragmatic and above all fun is of utmost importance. People are organisations’ most valuable yet most vulnerable asset. We know that the “human condition” is a target for Cyber-attacks and we know that we can educate and engage with our people to reduce the likelihood of these attacks being successful. Therefore who better to train your people, than an organisation that truly understands the technical aspect of Cyber Security and the behavioural aspects.

Often described as highly engaging and ‘fun’ our 1-day classroom learning includes a structured role-play exercise and a review of the learning points delivered in the course. In doing so we not only educate the attendees but also empower them as a vital part of your organisation’s defence against cyber-crime. There are also indirect business benefits aside from security. According to Business.com (How to cut your insurance cost – Nov 12, 2019), Staff training and awareness programmes can also help reduce the cost of related insurance premiums.

IHF Cyber Security Human Factors Certification will be awarded on full attendance of the course.
